PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has announced a major reshuffle of its senior command, with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) ordering the transfer and posting of 12 officers with immediate effect in what the department described as a move made in the public interest.
According to the notification, SP Amjad Hussain has been transferred from Director of the Police School of PDRM, Mardan, to SP Investigation Battagram.
DSP Waheed Khan, who was serving as SP Karakoram Patrolling Force (KPF) Battagram, has been appointed Director of the Police School of Tactics, Nowshera.
SP Naveed Iqbal has been moved from SP Investigation Bajaur to SP Investigation Upper Chitral, while SP Iftikhar Ahmed has been transferred from SP Investigation Battagram to SP Investigation Kolai-Palas Kohistan.
Zarif Khan has been posted as Director of the Police School of PDRM, Mardan, after serving as Director of the Police School of Tactics, Nowshera.
The notification also states that Ajmal Khan has been appointed SP Investigation Bajaur, Abrar Khan has been transferred to SP Investigation Mansehra, and Hakam Khan has been posted as SP Admin at the Frontier Reserve Police (FRP) Headquarters in Peshawar after serving as SP City Mardan.
Among other appointments, Tayyab Jan has been posted as SP Warsak, CCPO Peshawar, while Muhammad Kamran has been directed to report to the Commandant of the SSU/CPEC for further posting.
Roshan Zaman has been appointed Director of PTS Buner, and Shahraaz Ahmed has been posted as SP Karakoram Patrolling Force (KPF) Battagram.
In a separate order, PSP Grade-18 officer Muhammad Waqas Khan has been relieved of his duties as Assistant Inspector General (Logistics) at the Central Police Office (CPO), Peshawar, and directed to report to the Additional Inspector General of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for further assignment.
The notification said all transfers and appointments take effect immediately.
