PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Thursday appointed 10 new law officers in the Advocate General’s Office to make legal affairs more effective and strengthen the prosecution of government cases.
An official notification issued here said that Alam Khan Andinzai, Sehrish Munawar and Saif-ur-Rehman have been appointed as Additional Advocate General, while Malik Akhtar Hussain Awan has been appointed as Advocate on Record.
Similarly, Abid-ur-Rehman, Shahid Khan, Muhammad Furqan, Yasir Saleem, Muhammad Adnan Sher and Syed Bilal Shafi Andrabi have been appointed as Assistant Advocate General.
Official sources said the new appointments are aimed at increasing the efficiency of the Advocate General’s Office, ensuring effective prosecution of government cases in the courts and handling legal matters in a more organised manner.
The legal community has welcomed the new appointments and expressed hope that the inclusion of these law officers will improve the performance of the Advocate General’s Office, that the government’s position will be presented in the courts more effectively. Moreover, cases of public interest will be pursued in time.
