ISLAMABAD: The federal government has increased the special conveyance allowance for disabled federal employees, raising the monthly amount from Rs6,000 to Rs10,000, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.
The notification, issued by the ministry’s Regulations Wing, states that the enhanced allowance has been approved for disabled employees serving in both the civil and defence sectors.
Under the revised policy, the special conveyance allowance has been increased by Rs4,000 per month and will take effect from July 1, 2026.
The Finance Ministry clarified that the enhanced amount will be paid in addition to the regular conveyance allowance already admissible to eligible employees.
The ministry has issued a formal Office Memorandum to implement the revised allowance, providing financial relief to disabled federal employees to help meet their transportation needs.
