A vehicle carrying tourists was safely rescued after becoming trapped in a flash flood in the Malam Jabba area of Swat,due to a timely operation by Rescue 1122 personnel and the Tourism Police.

According to officials, the vehicle was caught in a rain-fed stream during heavy monsoon conditions. Rescue personnel, assisted by the Tourism Police, successfully pulled the vehicle to safety, and all passengers on board remained unharmed.

The prompt rescue operation prevented any loss of life or property. Authorities praised the professionalism of the rescue teams, whose swift response ensured the safe evacuation of the vehicle and its occupants.

During the operation, the Tourism Police managed traffic flow and advised tourists about the prevailing weather conditions and potential risks.

Visitors were urged to avoid rain-fed streams, rivers and areas with strong water currents, while safety guidelines were also shared with those travelling in the region.

The district administration appealed to tourists to avoid unnecessary travel during the monsoon season, check the latest weather and road conditions before setting out, and follow the instructions of relevant authorities in the event of an emergency.
