ISLAMABAD: More than 300,000 aspiring pilgrims have registered through the digital Hajj registration system for the 2027 to 2030 Hajj seasons, according to official data.
The registration process, conducted through the Hajj portal developed by the National Information Technology Board (NITB), has attracted a large number of applicants seeking to perform Hajj under the government and private schemes.
Figures show that 283,000 pilgrims registered through the Hajj portal, while 43,000 applicants completed registration through the “Pak Hajj” mobile application.
Among the registered applicants, 235,000 selected the government Hajj scheme, while 90,000 opted for the private Hajj scheme. The registered applicants include 191,000 men and 134,000 women.
Officials said the online Hajj registration process will continue until further notice. The NITB has also developed an online system for the collection of Hajj dues, while details regarding Hajj packages and payment procedures will be announced soon.
The government has introduced digital registration facilities to simplify the application process and provide greater convenience to prospective pilgrims.
