ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has issued new travel instructions for overseas Pakistanis, stating that passengers will no longer be allowed to travel to Pakistan from abroad using an invalid, expired, or cancelled National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).

According to official directives, airlines operating flights to Pakistan have been instructed to strictly enforce the new policy and prevent passengers with non-valid NICOPs from boarding flights.

The instructions have been communicated to all zonal directors, who have been directed to immediately inform relevant airlines and ensure full compliance.

The decision will take effect immediately and applies to all passengers travelling to Pakistan from foreign countries.

Authorities advised overseas Pakistanis to ensure that their NICOP status is valid before planning their travel to avoid inconvenience at airports.
