PESHAWAR: The Lady Reading Hospital (MTI) Peshawar has promoted 14 specialist doctors from the rank of Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. The promotions were granted in institutional recognition of their extensive teaching, medical research, clinical performance and professional services to the healthcare sector.

The newly promoted associate professors span a wide array of vital medical and surgical faculties at the province’s premier healthcare institution. The medical professionals receiving the academic elevation include Dr. Zahid Ullah (Emergency Medicine), Dr. Dilaram Khan (Gastroenterology), Dr. Nuzhat Raheel (Ophthalmic Medicine), Dr. Zafar Mahmood (Neurology), Dr. Zia-ur-Rehman (Neurosurgery), and Dr. Fazal Rabbani (Psychiatry).

The institutional upgrades also extended significantly into diagnostic and specialized fields, elevating Dr. Rukhsana Aziz and Dr. Nasreen Aman in Radiology, Dr. Arshad Islam in Pathology, and Dr. Muhammad Irfan Khan in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Furthermore, the hospital’s critical care and cardiovascular teams saw promotions for Dr. Tariq Nawaz and Dr. Ikram Ullah in Cardiology, alongside Dr. Javed Hamid and Dr. Muhammad Shahryar Ashraf in Anesthesia.

Hospital administration noted that these institutional advancements are expected to significantly strengthen both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education at the facility while elevating the standard of specialized patient care in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
