A video is circulating on social media about the condition of the Medical B Ward of Lady Reading Hospital, LRH, the province’s largest teaching hospital, which shows the poor condition of the ward.

It can be seen in the video that there are no air conditioners in the ward despite the intense heat. Due to the breakdown of the electricity system, relatives are seen treating patients using mobile lights. The complainant says that the condition of the patient when he comes to the ward, his condition worsens due to the lack of facilities. Questions on the administration

The person who shared the video raised the question that when the medical wards of this large hospital, managed by the head of the hospital’s board of governors, Noshirwan Burki, are in this condition, what will be the condition of other hospitals in the province? He also questioned the government’s performance for 14 years.

 

Users on social media are telling the situation of hospitals in their area in the comments. Most users have mentioned heat, power load shedding, and lack of basic facilities in medical wards.

Efforts have been made to get a stand from the KP Health Department and the LRH administration in this regard. No official statement has been issued by them.

The temperature in Peshawar exceeds 36°C in the month of June. In the intense heat, the lack of electricity and a cooling system in hospitals becomes an additional problem for patients. The Meteorological Department has also issued a heatwave alert.
