PM Coordinator for Information Ikhtiar Wali reached the residence of child victim family in Nowshera
Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and Broadcasting Ikhtiar Wali reached the residence of the victim family after the alleged sexual assault of a six-year-old boy in Madina Colony, Nowshera.
He met the family, expressed concern over the incident and expressed solidarity with the victim family.
Talking to the media after meeting the victim family, Ikhtiar Wali said that after the incident of sexual assault of a six-year-old boy, the victim family was pressured to reconcile and tortured and instead of arresting the accused, the father of the victim was kept in custody overnight.
Akhtiar Wali said that despite the serious incident, an FIR was not registered immediately, but a case was registered after a complaint was made to the IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that the victim family is being continuously pressured to reconcile and the accused is being provided protection.
He said that instead of providing justice to the victim family, they are facing more difficulties. He said that we do not accept a DPO who supports the accused instead of the victim.
