ISLAMABAD: The online registration process for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 has officially commenced, marking the start of admissions for medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.
According to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), candidates can submit their online applications with the standard registration fee until July 8, 2026. Applicants who miss the initial deadline will be able to register with a late fee until July 13, 2026.
MDCAT 2026 examination will be conducted throughout Pakistan on August 16, 2026.
The test will include 180 MCQs comprising 81 Biology MCQs, 45 MCQs from Chemistry, 36 MCQs from Physics, and nine MCQs each from English and Logical Reasoning.
As per the PMDC, the exam pattern will comprise 15 percent easy, 70 percent moderate, and 15 percent difficult questions to evaluate candidates’ performance.
In Punjab province, examination centers will be set up in 15 cities, including Lahore.
The MDCAT is an obligatory entrance test for candidates aspiring to join undergraduate programs of medicine and dentistry in Pakistan. The candidates are advised to register before the deadlines to avoid incurring extra costs due to delays.
