ISLAMABAD: YouTuber and social media host Tariq Rehan has apologized in a video message following the backlash over his controversial interview with renowned religious scholar Allama Jawad Naqvi.
Tariq Rehan said in his video statement that if anyone was hurt by his questions or style of conversation, he apologized. However, several users on social media did not call his apology unconditional and demanded a clearer stance.
After the controversial interview, there was a wide discussion on the issue on various social media platforms, where several users criticized the style of the program, the questions and the behavior of the host.
Some users said that this kind of style was not appropriate in a holy month like Muharram, while some also demanded action against Tariq Rehan or a ban on his channel.
