ISLAMABAD: The National Information Technology Board (NITB) has launched a new digital platform, Pak App, aimed at providing residents of Islamabad with easier access to a wide range of government services through a single mobile application.

The objective of the new initiative is to simplify interactions of citizens with government departments by consolidating multiple government services onto one platform. According to officials, the use of the new application will contribute to cutting down administrative delays and eliminating face-to-face contact with government offices.

It is stated that Pak App has been developed with a contemporary design interface and improved functionality to facilitate easy usage by users. The digital platform makes it possible for citizens to avail themselves of multiple government services digitally.

It is noted that the development of the application is part of wider attempts by the authorities to facilitate digital governance. The government seeks to save citizens’ time through the consolidation of multiple services on one platform.

According to officials, the app has been developed to enhance the smart digital ecosystem where citizens can avail themselves of various services using their mobiles with more ease.

This initiative has been referred to as a big step towards achieving the Digital Pakistan dream of the country.

The NITB has motivated people to make use of this innovative platform and join the digital ecosystem of the country.

It should be noted that according to the officials, the project will be extended to other cities in the future, thereby leading to the digitization of government services throughout the country.
