ISLAMABAD: Users of the social media platform X were met with error messages and broken timelines on Monday morning after a widespread outage disrupted services and triggered a surge of complaints across the internet.
According to the outage tracker website Downdetector, problems started at around 9 a.m. ET, with the reports of disruptions on X reaching about 30,000 just minutes after very few reports in the earlier hours of the day.
In the midst of the outage, frustrated users resorted to other websites, including the comments section of Downdetector itself, which was flooded with messages from users trying to determine the extent of the problem and giving updates as they wait for things to get fixed.
The outage resulted in interruptions in the load of feeds, postings, and general access to the platform.
As of now, there is no official statement by the company regarding the cause of the disruption and when full services will be restored.
