ISLAMABAD: Users around the world, including in Pakistan, are facing disruptions on Facebook, with many reporting difficulties sending messages and posting content. The outage appears to have affected other Meta platforms as well, including Instagram, WhatsApp’s desktop feature, and Threads.
According to independent outage monitoring platforms such as Downdetector, reports of errors and connection issues began to spike earlier today, indicating that the disruption is widespread and not limited to a single region. Many users have expressed frustration as personal and professional communications on these platforms have been interrupted.
Many users have complained about slow-loading pages as well as problems logging in to their accounts. The increase in complaints suggests that this is a massive technical issue that needs to be addressed, although Meta has not released any information regarding the matter so far.
In recent years, Meta has seen rapid growth in its number of users due to which, any interruption in its services creates a huge impact on communication on the sites. In such cases, it takes some time to fix the problem since it may be complicated, especially when it concerns large-scale users.
Users are advised to visit the official Meta site for information on how to solve the problem.
