PESHAWAR (Salman Yousafzai): The Islamia College Peshawar on Tuesday suspended three students while taking stern action against them over an incident of misbehaviour and harassment of a female lecturer.

According to the notification issued in light of the preliminary report of the disciplinary committee, these students have been suspended for two weeks and have also been banned from entering the university until the final decision of the committee.

The administration has issued strict instructions to the inquiry committee to complete its proceedings within the stipulated time.

On the other hand, after the immediate action taken by the administration, the Teaching Staff Association has announced the postponement of the strike.

The teachers’ organisation says that the protest has been stopped until the final decision of the disciplinary committee, and all academic activities will be fully restored by June 8.
