TEHRAN: Iran has issued a stern warning to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) regarding its growing relations with Israel, cautioning Abu Dhabi against getting involved in what Tehran calls Israeli conspiracies.
According to a report published by a Qatar-based news agency, Mohsin Rezaee, Military Secretary to the Supreme Leader of Iran, said that even though Iran is still open for friendship with the UAE, it is aware of the increasing relationship between the two countries and that Iran can no longer tolerate any more.
Iran is very clear about the UAE-Israeli relationship and warned Abu Dhabi not to become a victim of Israeli conspiracies. This warning comes at a time when there has been a lot of friction between the UAE and Iran over the latter’s military activities in the former.
In a previous development, the foreign minister of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, publicly accused the UAE of involvement in acts against Iran. In his statement, which he gave before the BRICS summit, he had condemned the UAE for its lack of reaction to acts against Iran.
In another related development, recent reports have revealed that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid an unannounced visit to the UAE while in the midst of its conflict with Iran.
Trump warns Iran to act immediately: ‘Time is running out’”
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, urging the country to take immediate action before it’s too late.
In a statement shared on social media, Trump emphasized the urgency of the situation, saying, “Time is running out for Iran. They must act immediately, or there will be nothing left for them. Timing is crucial.”
This marks yet another instance of Trump publicly addressing tensions with Iran, highlighting his continued focus on the country’s policies and actions.
Trump praises Pakistan’s role as mediator in Iran-US ceasefire, rejects criticism from fellow Senator
Earlier, Pakistan has received international recognition for its role as the sole mediator in ceasefire negotiations with Iran, a role that US President Donald Trump once again lauded during remarks in China.
During an interview with the press, Trump referred to Pakistan as “an outstanding country” and congratulated Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on their leadership roles in reaching the ceasefire agreement with Iran.
While the American president has in the past appreciated the efforts made by Pakistan, his latest statement holds special relevance in light of criticism by the US Senator Lindsey Graham, who is an associate of the president, regarding Pakistan’s neutrality in the talks.
Trump, while not directly referring to the senator, indirectly rebutted all his concerns about Pakistan’s neutrality through the latter’s appreciation of Pakistan’s leadership.
In a recent development, even the Prime Minister of Qatar had appreciated Pakistan’s mediating role, saying that Islamabad was doing its job efficiently as a mediator without the intervention of any third party.
The Iranian leadership has also appreciated Pakistan’s mediation, acknowledging its role in maintaining peace within the region via official meetings as well as telephonic consultations.
