Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi met with Chief Minister Sohail Afridi at the Governor’s House and discussed law and order, along with important provincial issues.
During the meeting, they discussed law and order, as well as other important provincial issues. The closure of CNG stations and the supply of wheat from Punjab were significant topics of conversation.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi stated that the closure of CNG stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a violation of the constitution and highlighted the severe impact it has on poor people.
‘He emphasized that if Punjab provides a corridor, they could obtain wheat from Sindh. Currently, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is facing high wheat prices due to the lack of such a corridor.
The Sindh government, according to the governor, is ready to supply wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Also present at the meeting were Speaker of the Provincial Assembly Babar Saleem Swati, Information Minister Shafi Jan, and the Chief Secretary.
Governor Kundi mentioned that for the first time in the parliamentary history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the South Asia Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Conference is being organized, which he called an honor for the province.
The meeting also addressed the issue of increasing the salaries of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police. The governor directed the Chief Secretary to review the salaries and benefits of police forces in other provinces and to submit recommendations to the provincial government.
