PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted hot and dry weather across the country, with partly cloudy weather in the upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The weather across Pakistan on Sunday is expected to remain predominantly hot and dry, with southern and central regions experiencing very hot conditions. Meanwhile, the upper hilly areas of the country will see partly cloudy skies, and isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorms may occur in certain northern districts.
According to the Met Office in Islamabad, residents can expect hot and dry conditions throughout the day. While in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will largely remain hot and dry, although upper districts may experience partly cloudy skies. Isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorms are forecasted in Parachinar, Kurram, and Waziristan during the evening and night hours.
Most districts of Punjab will witness hot and dry weather, with very hot conditions in the central and southern districts. Murree, Galliyat, and surrounding areas are expected to have hot, dry weather during the day, turning partly cloudy in the afternoon.
Sindh will remain hot and dry in most districts, with very hot temperatures in the upper districts. Balochistan will experience mainly hot and dry conditions, while northern districts may see partly cloudy weather and isolated evening and night thunderstorms in Sherani, Zhob, and surrounding areas.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to remain partly cloudy. According to the Met Department, the minimum temperature in Islamabad is 20 and the maximum temperature goes to 38 °C, while for Peshawar the minimum temperature recorded is 20 and goes to 38 degree.
Citizens are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions during peak heat hours, especially in southern and central regions experiencing extreme temperatures.
