LAHORE: Initial dates for the announcement of matriculation annual examination results across Punjab have been finalised, bringing clarity for students, parents and educational institutions awaiting the outcome.

According to sources, all educational boards in Punjab have completed consultations on the result schedule. As per the tentative plan, the result of 10th class examinations is expected to be announced on August 6, while the 9th class result may be released on September 2.

Officials said the result preparation process is currently underway, including marking of papers, verification of marks and compilation of results at different stages. The final approval of the schedule is expected soon, after which all boards will formally announce the dates.

Students across Punjab participated in large numbers in this year’s matric examinations. Following the announcement of results, 10th class students will be able to apply for college admissions, while 9th class students will assess their performance and prepare for the next academic year.

Sources further said that matric second annual examinations are scheduled to begin on October 6. Students who fail or wish to improve their grades will be eligible to appear in these exams.

Meanwhile, registration for the eighth-grade board examinations in Punjab will begin on May 25, with the last date set for July 8. School heads have been instructed to ensure accurate student data submission to avoid errors or delays in the registration process.

Authorities have directed schools to correctly enter students’ names, parents’ details, B-form numbers, dates of birth and other required information, warning that incorrect data could cause difficulties for students during examinations.
