Pakistan Women’s cricket team captain Fatima Sana delivered a sensational performance in the third T20 International against Zimbabwe, registering the fastest half-century in women’s T20 cricket.
Playing at the National Stadium Karachi on Friday, Fatima Sana remained unbeaten on 62 runs off just 19 balls, guiding Pakistan to a massive total of 223 runs against Zimbabwe.
Her explosive innings included 10 boundaries and two sixes, with the captain completely changing the course of the innings during the final overs. The remarkable knock also set a new record for the fastest fifty in women’s T20 cricket.
Syeda Aroob Shah also played a valuable supporting role, scoring an unbeaten 50 off 32 deliveries to help Pakistan post a commanding total.
Pakistan Women have already dominated Zimbabwe in the ODI series with a 3-0 whitewash and currently hold a decisive 2-0 lead in the ongoing T20 series.
