A police constable was martyred when unknown persons opened fire on him in Tehsil Lowi Mamond on Monday.
According to the police, martyred constable Saeed Ullah was on leave these days and belonged to Katkot Mamond. After the incident, the attackers managed to escape from the spot. As soon as the information about the incident was received, a heavy contingent of police immediately reached the spot and cordoned off the area and a search operation was started. According to the police spokesperson, the investigation into the incident is ongoing and every possible effort is being made to search for the accused.
Police say that the body of the martyred official has been shifted to DHQ Hospital Bajaur Khar, where necessary action is being completed. On the other hand, security has been tightened in the area so that the accused can be arrested soon.
