PESHAWAR: Rallies and commemorative ceremonies were held across various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday to pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces on the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq.
In Abbottabad, a large rally was organised to celebrate the success of Operation Banyan um Marsoos, reflecting the nation’s unwavering support for the military. Participants, including members of civil society, the district administration, rescue services, and police officers, marched from Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk to the Press Club. Attendees raised slogans in favour of the army, declaring that the nation stands united with its defenders and asserting that any enemy attempting to threaten the homeland would be met with a resolute response.
In South Waziristan Upper, a dignified ceremony titled “Jashn-e-Fath Marka-e-Haq” took place at Government High School Ashkarkot in Makin. Attended by the commanding officer of the local army unit, the event served as a significant example of coordination and mutual trust between civil and military institutions.
Speakers at the gathering emphasised the importance of national unity, patriotism, and peace, while stressing the need to instil a sense of responsibility and love for the country in the younger generation to achieve common national goals.
Simultaneously, in Swabi, a rally led by AAC Razar Sabiha Hastam and Malik Yousaf marched from the AAC office in Tehsil Razar to the mausoleum of Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed. School children and citizens from various walks of life participated, carrying Pakistani flags and banners while chanting “Pakistan Zindabad.” The participants paid glowing tributes to the sacrifices made for national security, describing the Pakistan Army as the ultimate symbol of homeland defence. The event concluded with the offering of Fateha and the laying of a floral wreath at the mausoleum. Additionally, a women’s rally organised by the Pakistan Central Muslim League saw women and children carrying placards and banners to express their solidarity and vocal support for the Pakistan Armed Forces.
