MIRANSHAH: Disabled persons in Miranshah, the district headquarters of North Waziristan, held a protest in front of Miranshah Press Club and demanded the implementation of disable quota.
The protesters were holding banners and placards on which their demands were written. Talking to the media on this occasion, the leaders of the protesters said that they are an important part of society, but unfortunately, they are being deprived of their legitimate constitutional and legal rights.
The protesters demanded that the government and the district administration conduct an immediate and transparent investigation into the alleged fake disability certificates issued in the name of disabled people, so that the rights of the entitled people are protected, and the quota of jobs reserved for disabled people in government departments be strictly implemented, and immediate recruitments be made on the vacant posts.
We should be provided with all the privileges and rights that are promised in the Constitution of Pakistan. The protesters further said that if their demands were not accepted, they would be forced to expand the scope of their protest.
They appealed to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the concerned authorities to pay immediate attention to this humanitarian issue and end the unrest among the disabled people of North Waziristan.
