PESHAWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan has announced the launch of the Ehsaas Fuel Support Program aimed at providing financial relief to motorcycle and scooter owners across the province.
In a statement issued here, Shafi Jan said that on the directive of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, the provincial government has initiated the Ehsaas Fuel Support Program to ease the financial burden on motorcycle and scooter owners. Under this program, eligible owners will receive Rs. 2,000 in financial assistance.
He added that a simple and transparent registration system has been introduced through the Dastak App through which deserving individuals can register and benefit from this provincial government initiative. The Ehsaas Fuel Support Program is an exemplary welfare measure that will serve as a lifeline for the common citizen.
Shafi Jan further stated that providing relief to the deserving and low-income segments of society remains the top priority of the provincial government. In line with the vision of founding Chairman Imran Khan, provincial government’s pro-people initiatives will continue uninterrupted. He noted that the anti-people policies of the federal government are adversely affecting the poor, while the provincial government is taking concrete steps to reduce the burden on the underprivileged.
He reaffirmed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government remains actively committed to delivering relief to the people at every level.
Relief for low-income motorcyclists: KP govt introduces Ehsaas fuel support program
Earlier, to provide financial relief to low-income citizens, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched the Ehsaas Fuel Support Program. This initiative will assist registered motorcycle and scooter owners with a monthly fuel subsidy of Rs. 2,000. The program was introduced under the direction of Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi.
Registration for the program will begin on April 6, 2026. To apply, individuals must provide their full name, father’s name, national identity card number (both front and back), registered mobile number, and complete residential address.
Additionally, applicants need to submit a clear photograph of their vehicle along with either the vehicle registration book or smart card. For vehicles being transferred, both the buyer and seller must confirm the transfer, ensuring that the ownership process is completed.
Authorities have stated that any application submitted with incorrect information will be rejected. Furthermore, if the transfer of ownership is not fully completed, the application will not be accepted. Both the buyer and seller must ensure proper transfer documentation is in place for the application to be valid.
Once submitted, all applications will be verified through the e-Sahulat platform, followed by a final check from the Excise and Taxation Office (ETO). Applicants will then be notified about the outcome of their application, whether it has been approved or rejected.
