NEW DELHI: Bollywood’s “King Khan,” Shah Rukh Khan, has at last received his first National Film Award after 33 years of work in the film industry. The award was received by him for his exceptional solo performance in Jawan.

Shah Rukh Khan entered the world of Bollywood in 1992 with the release of the movie Deewana. He has won over millions of hearts globally since then with his performances in romance, drama, and action movies.

Some of King Khan’s blockbusters movies are Devdas, Pathaan, Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, and Jawan. Shah Rukh Khan played dual roles in Jawan, father and son depicting a fresh aspect of acting talent of his that was much appreciated by audiences and critics alike.

On the occasion, Shah Rukh Khan expressed gratitude towards his fans, co-stars, and movie team, stating that the award is a reminder that his effort and profession are always valued.

The industry and peers welcomed his feat, with senior dignitaries congratulating him and admitting that this honor, albeit late, was long overdue.

The experts have observed that the National Film Awards take into consideration the subtleties of performance, dialogue delivery intensity, and the artistic and social significance of the film. Although Shah Rukh Khan’s films have generally been commercially successful, the award is a milestone in his acknowledgement for artistic merit.
