RAWALPINDI: The medical examination of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf founder Imran Khan has commenced under the supervision of specialist doctors from different hospitals, said jail authorities.

According to the Adiala jail administration, a team of senior medical experts from leading hospitals in Islamabad, including Al-Shifa Eye Hospital, arrived at Adiala Jail to conduct the check-up.

According to the superintendent of Adiala Jail, Imran Khan’s eye examination begins. The medical team is present in Adiala Jail with the necessary medical equipment. Arrangements for the complete medical examination of the former Prime Minister have been completed

A detailed eye check-up is underway under the supervision of the medical board, while a medical examination is being conducted under strict security arrangements.

Superintendent, Adiala Jail, mentioned that the report of the medical team is likely to be compiled soon.

Officials stated that the medical team arrived at the jail since around 2:30 pm and had been awaiting representatives from the PTI leadership to witness the examination.

However, despite the government’s invitation and a prolonged wait, no party representative reached Adiala jail.

The administration said the medical assessment was initiated in line with procedure, adding that the examination proceed without political representative of PTI.
