Concerns have been raised about the accuracy of the claim made by Member of the National Assembly, Shahid Khattak, regarding his entry into Lahore Cantt.

In a video message, Khattak stated that security personnel in Lahore were preventing him from proceeding, asserting that the area is under extraordinary security measures. He claimed that he intended to visit Hassan Niazi’s house and meet Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.

Khattak insisted that this is the only area he has been denied entry to and suggested that this restriction is a result of political pressure from the government. He questioned which area would prohibit a Member of the National Assembly from entering.

However, video evidence and local sources indicate that Khattak’s claims do not reflect the reality on the ground. The video shows that no police officer or security personnel attempted to stop him, and no restrictions were imposed in the area. Sources have described Khattak’s assertions as fabricated and based on falsehoods, suggesting they were made for political advantage.

It’s noteworthy that this is the same Shahid Khattak who suffered a broken leg about fifteen days ago, yet he is now fully participating in the convoy of health workers.

This claim by the PTI highlights how the party occasionally presents exaggerated narratives for political purposes, despite the reality being quite different. Political observers suggest that Shahid Khattak’s statements could undermine the credibility of the PTI and prompt public scrutiny of the party’s claims.
