BANNU: Militants launched a coordinated attack on the Havid Police Station in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The police and security forces are prompting a swift response.
Heavy gunfire continues between the forces and militants to echo across the area as the operation is underway.
Initial reports indicate that a large number of militants targeted the only police station in the area, which has frequently been the target of terrorist attacks in the past.
Police force was already on high alert and promptly engaged the attackers. According to police sources, several militants have been injured or killed during the exchange of fire, while one police officer sustained minor injuries.
Security forces are working alongside the police to repel the attackers and restore peace in the region. Additional personnel have been deployed to control the situation.
