PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has amended the Civil Servants Rules 1989 and it has been decided that in case of terrorism, the son or widow of an employee martyred on duty will be allowed to work.
The appointing authority will be authorized to give government employment to the heir of the martyred employee. In the case of a minor child, the widow will be given a BPS 3 to 11 provincial or BPS 12 district post.
The amendment said that minimum qualification of the prescribed post made mandatory for appointment. In the case of two widows of an employee martyred on duty, the first widow will be given priority.
If a post in a higher pay scale is vacant, the same will be appointed as per the qualification. The facility will be applicable only to non-commissioned posts. The notification of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will be published in the official gazette.
