PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has directed all district education officers to submit details of schools facing shortages of basic facilities and those operating in double shifts through the department’s online system within the stipulated deadline.

According to the Education Department, only 370 schools have so far submitted their requirements regarding shortages of basic facilities, of which just 16 are double-shift schools.

The department has urged all schools whose requirements are still pending to submit the necessary information immediately, as the deadline is approaching and time is running out.

Officials said the data would help ensure that the needs of deserving schools are incorporated into future development planning. Schools have been advised to use the relevant section of the Education Department’s online information system to submit their requirements.
