NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Security forces have conducted a highly successful intelligence-based operation in the Shewa area of North Waziristan, resulting in the elimination of 18 Khawarij terrorists.
According to details, the operation was launched based on precise intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. However, the operation faced severe challenges as a video surfaced showing some local elements attempting to facilitate the terrorists. During the intense operation, these local facilitators surrounded the Khawarij in a bid to save them, attempting to provide them with a safe escape route.
The emerging footage highlights the immense obstacle that local facilitation poses in the ongoing fight against terrorism. As witnessed in previous instances, the Khawarij attempted to hide behind the civilian population, using these local facilitators as human shields to obstruct the advancement and operations of the security forces.
Security sources said that the Khawarij and their local facilitators are not only enemies of national peace but are also jeopardising the law and order of the entire region to fulfil their nefarious designs. Despite these critical challenges and local resistance, the security forces remain resolutely determined to completely eradicate terrorism, ensuring that both the terrorists and their facilitators are being selectively eliminated from the region.
