The Lahore High Court has restrained the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) from arresting Nooreen Niazi, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, in a case registered under the PECA Act.

Justice Sardar Akbar Dogar heard the petition filed by Nooreen Niazi and approved her protective bail for a period of one week. In his order, Justice Dogar directed Nooreen Niazi to appear before the relevant court within one week.

According to the petitioner, the NCCIA had registered a case against her under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA). She needs to appear before the relevant court for interim bail, but fears arrest by the NCCIA. The petition requested the court to grant protective bail to enable her to approach the relevant court for regular bail.
