United States authorities have identified and arrested the suspect following a security incident during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and released the image of suspect.

According to officials, the suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen, a resident of California. He was taken into custody during the event as security agencies swiftly intervened to bring the situation under control.

A report by CNN stated that law enforcement personnel acted promptly, preventing further escalation. Shortly after the incident, an image of the suspect was also shared on Truth Social, the social media platform associated with US President Donald Trump.

President Trump confirmed the arrest, stating that the alleged shooter had been apprehended alive. His statement came in response to circulating rumours suggesting that the attacker had been killed during a counter-operation.

Earlier reports by some US and Russian media outlets had claimed that the suspect was shot dead by security forces; however, President Trump’s remarks have refuted those claims.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing to gather details, and a full investigation into the incident remains underway.

The United States President Donald Trump, responding to the shooting incident at the White House Correspondents Dinner, said that the suspect tried to attack from 15 yards away, he was right on target.

President Trump said in a press conference that this was another attempt to take my life, I do not think the attack is related to the Iran war, the suspect had many weapons, the Secret Service took immediate action and saved people’s lives.

Trump said that it was a very amazing moment, heard the loud sounds of the tray falling, I was trying to see what happened, Melania said it was a bad sound.
