MUMBAI: Veteran Indian actor Ramakant Dyama has passed away in Mumbai at the age of 69, Indian media reported.
As per sources, no official cause of death has yet been revealed. Actor Shubhangi Latkar made the announcement on behalf of the family, sharing an emotional message alongside a tribute video.
Latkar described Ramakant Dyama as a colorful person and a good friend in her statement, adding that despite all the problems, he never lost his zeal to stay alive. She further expressed that his demise leaves behind a quiet silence which can never be conveyed in words.
Some of Dyama’s famous works include Chak De! India, Scam 1992, The Harshad Mehta Story, Rustom, Brothers, Crew, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, and several others.
Ramakant Dyama played several characters through his career, which was spread over the movies and OTT shows. As a versatile character actor, he is popular in the Indian entertainment industry for his performances.
