PESHAWAR: All Democrats voted against President Trump, and 4 members of President Trump’s own Republican Party were among those who voted in opposition. The US Senate took a symbolic step and rejected the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on various countries around the world.
According to foreign media, the Senate passed a resolution in a symbolic step to end the emergency powers used by President Trump, but this resolution is not mandatory. All Democrats voted against President Trump, and 4 members of President Trump’s own Republican Party were among those who voted in opposition; thus, 51 votes were cast against 47. Earlier, the Senate had voted against President Trump’s powers under which President Trump imposed 50 percent tariffs on Brazil and 35 percent tariffs on Canada.
