WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump announced that Palestinian Authority passport holders, as well as citizens of Syria, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Laos, will no longer be able to enter the US.

This decision has been made at a time when the US has indicated that it will further tighten its entry rules. Explaining the ban, a White House spokesperson said that the US wants to prevent all foreigners from entering the country who can make it unsafe and unstable. He said that this step is necessary to protect the American people and the security of the country. This latest ban by President Trump has been implemented at a time when the US has already banned the entry of citizens of twelve other countries.

The aim of these restrictions is said to be to reduce the risk of terrorism and other security threats. The ban will not only apply to new visa applicants but may also affect travellers returning to or entering the US from these countries. According to sources, US authorities have issued instructions to all relevant embassies and immigration offices under this measure.

Analysts say that this decision could affect relations between the US and these countries and spark a debate on the security policies of the Trump administration at the international level.
