United States Bank will invest $100 billion in Pakistan, Egypt and European projects.

According to a British newspaper report, the US bank will invest to secure the supply chain of important minerals, nuclear energy and LNG. US Export-Import Bank Chairman John Yovanovitch said in an interview with the British newspaper that the first tranche of the investment will include projects in Egypt, Pakistan and Europe.

He said that a loan of $1.25 billion will be provided for Reko Diq in Pakistan, and a credit insurance guarantee will be provided to Egypt for $4 billion worth of natural gas. The chairman of the American bank also said that the West is overly dependent on the supply of energy and key minerals, and that the sources of supply of key raw materials must be secure, stable, and functioning.

it is to mentioning here that the US Consul General also held a meeting with Governor Kundi, who briefed the visiting dignitary on the province’s tourism potential, as well as ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting industrial development, youth empowerment, and women’s independence.

He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held great importance due to its geographical location and natural resources, adding that the province was striving to attract investment in key sectors. “America is our development partner and a friendly country. We wish to further expand bilateral cooperation in various sectors,” Mr Kundi stated.

Highlighting education as a key area of collaboration, the governor remarked that “the best and most valuable investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is providing scholarships to our youth in American educational institutions.”

He also noted the province’s talent in sports and education, stressing the government’s efforts to promote youth development and industrial growth. “With cooperation between Pakistan and the United States, sustainable development goals can be achieved in the province,” he added.

During the meeting, the governor also presented the US ambassador with a traditional Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shawl.

Ambassador Baker thanked Governor Kundi for the warm hospitality, acknowledging the long-standing friendly relations between the people of Pakistan and the United States. She expressed sympathy for the sacrifices of the people, police, and security forces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the fight against terrorism, and appreciated the governor’s commitment to advancing development and prosperity in the province in collaboration with the provincial government.
