DELHI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) team defeated Canada by five wickets after a thrilling battle in the twentieth match of the T20 World Cup.

The match played in Delhi, the UAE achieved the target of 151 runs set by Canada in 19.4 overs for the loss of five wickets.
In pursuit of the target, Aryansh Sharma showed brilliant batting and scored an unbeaten 74 runs off 53 balls. Sohaib Khan also played a responsible game and scored 51 runs off 29 balls, which included four fours and four sixes.
Captain Mohammad Wasim could not stay at the wicket for long and was dismissed for only four runs, while Alishan Sharfoo was the guest of five runs.
For Canada, Saad Bin Zafar took three wickets, while Kaleem Sana and Jaskaran Singh sent one player to the pavilion.
Earlier, Canada, batting first, scored 150 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Despite Harsh Thakur’s half-century, the team could not put up a big total. Navneet Dhaliwal scored 34, and Shreyas Movah scored 21 runs.
UAE bowler Junaid Siddiqui showed a brilliant performance, taking five wickets, while Mohammad Jawadullah got one wicket.
