ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) central leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has been admitted to a private hospital in Islamabad after suffering a heart attack.
A statement issued by the party on Friday evening said that his health suddenly deteriorated the previous night, and after being diagnosed with a heart condition, he was shifted to the hospital after being provided immediate medical assistance.
According to hospital sources, a team of expert doctors is treating him, and his condition is being monitored continuously. Party leaders have also appealed to the public to pray for his recovery.
During this, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Kamran Murtaza and other central leaders visited Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri in the hospital and expressed their best wishes for him.
Party sources say that his health has improved slightly at present; however, doctors have instructed him to take complete rest and keep him under constant medical supervision.
