Washington, D.C.: The officials confirmed the incident involving two National Guardsmen being injured by gunfire near the White House, in Washington D.C.
According to U.S. media report, large number of law enforcement officers arrived at the scene immediately following the shooting incident.
Authorities stated that a single individual has been taken into custody and is currently, under investigation.
National Guard shot near the White House at a little before 2:15.
I was in an Uber to work, with my cameraman, and heard multiple shots fired as we passed Farragut West.
A member of the National Guard fell while others rushed onto the scene.

A representative from the White House said that, besides, President Trump was notified of the matter and, as a precautionary measure, the White House was closed for a short time.
President Trump was the first to condemn the attack and labelled the shooter an “animal.” Moreover, he promised that the culprit would face punishment.
