FLORIDA: US President Donald Trump has announced the development of new aircraft carriers and submarines as part of a major expansion of the US Navy.
Speaking at a press conference with the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Navy, Trump revealed that the US is set to build 15 new submarines and 3 modern aircraft carriers, emphasizing that the US is currently 15 years ahead of any other country in submarine technology.
“Our Navy is being transformed into the world’s most powerful fleet. No country, including China or Russia, can compete with our submarines. We are leading the world in advanced submarine technology,” Trump said, adding that these new developments would bolster the US Navy’s strength significantly.
He also highlighted that the new aircraft carrier, named “Victory”, would play a critical role in maintaining US military dominance and revitalizing the US shipbuilding industry.
Trump emphasized that the US leads the world by 15 years in submarine development, and the newly designed submarines would be among the most advanced and undetectable vessels in the world. He pointed out that the new fleet would make the US Navy virtually unbeatable in the seas.
President Trump also discussed the ongoing battle against drug trafficking. He revealed that over 300,000 people had died in the US last year due to drug-related issues and that the administration is committed to stopping the flow of narcotics into the country.
Trump stated that the US Navy is targeting drug-smuggling boats operating in the seas and has successfully destroyed numerous such vessels. “We have managed to block 95% of illegal drugs from entering the United States,” he proudly declared.
At the press conference, President Trump mentioned the case of Jeffrey Epstein in passing and said that he was shocked by the pictures he saw in the Epstein files. He admitted that some people did not know about Epstein’s immoral conduct but he still claimed that he had never been on Epstein’s private island and had even tried to get Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Moreover, in a different part of the conference, Trump emphasized again that he was the main person who stopped an India-Pakistan nuclear conflict. He stated, “I stopped a nuclear war between India and Pakistan. I saved over 10 million lives, and I have stopped 8 wars around the world.” He further praised Pakistan’s Field Marshal Sayed Asim Munir, referring to him as a very esteemed person.
Trump continued that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif had also recognized his work on stopping the war.
