The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has once again mocked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning his governance.
Speaking during a recent press interaction, Trump said India had ordered 68 Apache helicopters from the United States but had not received them despite waiting for five years.
Trump further claimed that Prime Minister Modi personally approached him seeking military assistance. Recounting the interaction, Trump said Modi came to meet him and requested support, adding that he responded by granting the meeting.
“India ordered Apache helicopters and didn’t get them for 5 years. PM Modi came to me and said ‘Sir can I please see you?’ and I said yes,” claims U.S. President Donald Trump

“I have a very good relationship with him. He’s not that happy with me because, you know, they’re paying a lot of tariffs now, because they’re not doing the oil,” he added, referring to India halting imports of Russian oil.
Trump also noted that the US is “getting rich because of tariffs”.
Meanwhile, India’s opposition Congress party took to X and uploaded a caricature of the scene, showing a timid Modi.
