MARDAN: A heartbreaking incident occurred in the Machhi Kali area of Rustam, Tehsil, where three people lost their lives after falling into a well.
According to details, a young man identified as Shah Room accidentally fell into the well inside his house. To rescue him, his father Ejaz and their neighbor Alif Zada immediately jumped into the well.
However, due to the depth of the well and possibly the presence of toxic gases inside, all three got trapped and died on the spot.
Local residents rushed to the scene and with great effort pulled the three bodies out of the well. They were immediately shifted to Rustam Hospital (THQ Hospital Rustam).
Hospital sources confirmed that all three were already dead upon arrival. The bodies have been shifted for post-mortem examination.
The tragic deaths have cast a pall of gloom over the entire area, with an atmosphere of mourning in Machhi Kali. Police and local administration have started further investigation into the incident.
