PESHAWAR: The countdown to the 12th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has officially begun, with the dates for the highly anticipated tournament announced.

The 12th edition of the HBL PSL will be played from March 18 to May 2, 2027, with the tournament set to feature eight teams for the second consecutive season.

The PSL Governing Council meeting was held in London, attended by owners and representatives of all eight franchises. After consultations, the governing council finalized the window for PSL 12.

The previous edition, HBL PSL 11, marked a major change as the league introduced a player auction for the first time, replacing the traditional player draft. The final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium also attracted a record 32,461 spectators.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said PSL 11 demonstrated the league’s potential on the global stage, featuring thrilling moments, record crowds and new broadcast records.

He expressed his determination to deliver another successful and exciting season of the league.
