PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started the process of issuing notices to PESCO defaulters for payment of arrears worth millions of rupees.

The FIA ​​has obtained all the records of 38 subdivisions of Peshawar. According to FIA sources, it has also started an investigation against some employees of Peshawar Electric Supply Company on charges including electricity theft.

These employees are facing various charges. A grand operation against electricity thieves will be started after Eid. FIA police and Peshawar Electric Supply and Peshawar Supply Company will conduct operations in different subdivisions.

Private defaulters, commercial defaulters, government departments, and private departments have issued notices to domestic defaulters. It has also been decided to shut down the electricity supply, and so far, notices have been issued to dozens of departments. Government departments are responsible for arrears worth lakhs of rupees.
