President Donald Trump has stated that Iran must surrender to end the ongoing conflict, adding that the country is unwilling to meet the conditions necessary for a peace agreement.

In his recent comments, Trump referred to rumors regarding the possible death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stating, I’ve heard that the new Supreme Leader, Mustafa Khamenei, may have already passed away. This could be just a rumor, but if he is alive, he should make wise decisions for his country.

Trump emphasized that while Iran is interested in reaching a deal, it is not ready to accept the terms set by the United States. He made it clear that without Iran’s agreement to these terms, especially concerning its nuclear capabilities, he would not pursue a deal. Iran must step back from its nuclear ambitions, Trump said, asserting that any agreement would require Iran to halt its nuclear program. He added, Until we have better terms, there will be no ceasefire.

Additionally, Trump hinted at the possibility of further military action, saying, Perhaps I will bomb Kharg Island again, just for fun. He mentioned that the U.S. is collaborating with other countries to ensure the security of the Strait of Hormuz, adding, It’s still unclear whether Iran has laid mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

These remarks come amid ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Iran, especially following the U.S.’s increased military presence in the region and its ongoing concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions and activities in the Strait of Hormuz.
