PESHAWAR: The Sui-Northern Gas has issued the gas supply schedule after the main pipeline burst on the outskirts of Peshawar on Wednesday night.
The Sui-Gas supply to Peshawar, Mardan, Swat and other areas was suspended after the main supply pipeline burst on the outskirts of Peshawar city on Wednesday late at night. Officials confirmed.
According to the officials, a 24-inch main gas supply pipeline exploded in the suburbs of Peshawar city, causing suspension of the gas supply to the province’s major cities, including the provincial capital, Peshawar.
The Sui Northern Gas official stated that the gas supply to the CNG stations has been temporarily stopped. However, efforts were underway to repair the crucial pipeline and restore the gas supply to both commercial and domestic consumers on an emergency basis.
It said that consumers would get the gas supply three times a day during the repair work, while the gas supply will be provided from 5 am to 9 am, 11 pm to 2 pm and in the evening from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Meanwhile, the Peshawar Commissioner said that Sui Northern Gas officials are continuing the repair work on an emergency basis.
