PESHAWAR: A second-year student of the Jinnah College at Peshawar University mysteriously died at the University premises on Thursday morning.
Police said that the daughter of Khalid Khan, a second-year student, suddenly fell ill and was taken to Khyber Teaching Hospital in an unconscious state, where she breathed her last.
According to the SHO of the campus police station, the deceased had taken her belongings from her home in the morning and was talking to her mother on the phone when her condition suddenly deteriorated.
She was immediately rushed to the hospital, but despite medical efforts, she could not be saved.
Commandant Mujeeb-ur-Rehman promptly arrived at the hospital to meet with the deceased’s family. He expressed his condolences, offered comfort, and assured the family of his full support during this difficult time.
The body has been transferred for a post-mortem examination, and an investigation, including 174 inquiries, has been initiated regarding the incident. Any further developments will be communicated promptly.
