PESHAWAR: Fatima Khan, a student at Islamia College, addressed Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi during a ceremony at Nishtar Hall. She stated that the Chief Minister’s remarks were exaggerated and provocative, distorting the facts.

Speaking to the Pakhtun Digital after the ceremony, Fatima questioned the Chief Minister, asking why, if there are alleged fake Form 47 governments in other provinces, the actual Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has not developed the province over the past 15 years. She pointed out that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has fallen behind compared to other provinces.

Fatima expressed her frustration that instead of addressing her question, the Chief Minister attempted to associate her with a political party and avoided providing a satisfactory response. She further criticised the PTI leadership for exploiting the enthusiasm of the youth for political gain, arguing that influential individuals are released from jail due to their connections, while poorer workers remain incarcerated, jeopardizing their futures.

She urged the Chief Minister to prioritise the actual development of the province instead of spreading divisive rhetoric through his visits and statements, as the public has not observed any tangible government efforts on the ground.
