LANDI KOTAL: Two young girls lost their lives after a mound of soil collapsed in the Landi Kotal area of Khyber district.
According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred in the Bazar Zakhakhel area, where the girls were collecting soil for house repairs. The soil mound suddenly collapsed, burying them underneath.
Local residents rushed to the scene and recovered the bodies from the debris on their own before rescue teams arrived.
The deceased girls were identified as 13-year-old Habiba and 11-year-old Aneesa.
The district administration has taken notice of the incident and registered a report regarding the landslide accident.
